Here's how the January real estate market compared to the same time last year:
Traditionally, January brings a quiet real estate market, but not this year! Low interest rates and a strong desire for the stability of home ownership continues to drive high activity in the real estate market. - Inventory remains tight with January reporting a scant 1% increase in units listed while units sold increased 27% compared to January 2020 - The number of units sold in January continued to outpace the number of new listings entering the market, resulting in a fast-paced market with days on market dropping to 44, a decrease from 70 in January 2020 - January's average sold median price was $325,000 - an increase from $300,000 in January of last year Data source: Bright MLS Residential; January 2021 compared to January 2020. Local market includes these School Districts: Unionville/Chadds-Ford, Kennett Consolidated, Avon Grove, Oxford Area, Octorara, Coatesville and Solanco.
